Training

AIMTRITEAM offers multiple and varied training opportunities designed to support members at all levels of fitness.  In addition to regularly scheduled member-led workouts, the team offers workshops and clinics lead by professional coaches. 

Member-led workouts include informal (typically arranged by email) short and long runs, weekend bike rides, and open-water swim sessions. In addition to the ongoing informal sessions mentioned above, the team offers weekly coached track workouts throughout the regular season. Once per year, the team plans a training weekend somewhere in New England.

Workshops are typically conducted during the off-season and are designed to help members prepare for the coming season.  For example, some of our workshop topics have included Goal Setting, Planning a Season, Smart Training, and Training with a Heart Rate Monitor.  

Additionally, throughout the regular season, the team schedules instructional hands-on clinics such as Stroke Technique and Open Water Swimming, Bike Handling Skills, and How to Transition.
